The Danger of Dossier Compilations: Interview with President G. Andrea Farina
November 4, 2024PRESS RELEASE – THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ITWAY GROUP HAS APPROVED THE INTERIM REPORT ON OPERATIONS AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2024
November 15, 2024The ICT Security Forum has concluded, an event dedicated to exploring the latest technologies and advancements in cybersecurity. Together with our partner Skybox, we demonstrated how the synergy between Itway’s Cyber Risk Operation Center and Skybox‘s CTEM platform can support companies in proactively preventing and responding to cyber attacks.
On October 23-24, we participated with our partner Skybox in the ICT Security Forum. Relevant Italian event and a unique opportunity to observe, test and compare different solutions on the market in the area of cybersecurity, in order to offer companies to make well-informed decisions that ensure a solid return on investment.
Cybersecurity experts Francesco Faenzi, Director of the Cyber Security & Resiliency BU, and Alessio Fasano, Country Manager at Skybox, highlighted the strategic value of our partnership with Skybox. They explained how our Cyber Risk Operation Center services and the Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) platform provide organizations with the necessary tools to strengthen their defenses, ensuring a resilient and secure digital infrastructure.
The current digital landscape exposes companies to new cyber risks
In today’s hybrid environment, companies are increasingly vulnerable to cyber attacks. A single breach can cause irreparable damage to the business, compromising both reputation and corporate stability.
In this complex scenario, a reactive structure is no longer sufficient; anticipation is key. A strategic and proactive approach is essential to effectively protect assets.
This is where the Cyber Risk Operation Center (CROC) and our Itway solution come into play—an innovative and comprehensive operations center for managing cyber risk and enhancing threat detection and response. Traditional methods of threat detection and response are no longer sufficient. The growing complexity of cyber threats demands a more dynamic and integrated approach.
However, it’s important not to confuse the CROC with the SOC. Let’s clarify the distinction between the two.
The SOC, or Security Operations Center, primarily operates on a detect-and-respond model, taking action only after a threat has been identified. But as the pace of attacks accelerates, it’s clear that waiting to detect a threat often means waiting too long.
Synergy with the Security Operations Center (SOC)
With a shift toward a more comprehensive and systemic approach to cybersecurity, the CROC works in close synergy with the SOC. While the SOC focuses on real-time threat monitoring and incident response, the CROC adds a layer of long-term risk prioritization and mitigation.
By providing useful information to the SOC, the CROC ensures that the most critical risks are quickly communicated, improving the organization’s overall security.
Additionally, the CROC serves as a solution that creates a common, clear, and simplified language for various security stakeholders within an organization, such as the CISO, CRO, and CFO, ensuring that everyone is aligned in understanding and addressing cyber risks.
It provides data, statistics, and shared reports that promote better communication and unified decision-making across departments, leading to a more integrated and effective approach to cybersecurity.
