ITWAY WINS AN INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR TENDERS IN PERU, WORTH USD 1.3 MILLION FOR BIG DATA AND DIGITAL REPOSITORIES

• Won an important competition organized by CONCYTEC (National Consortium of Science and Technology) in Peru.
• The project for a global value of USD 1.3 Mil has as its objective the improvement and expansion of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SINACYT).

Ravenna, April 29th, 2020 – Itway S.p.A., company operating in the IT, Cyber ​​Security, AI and Big Data sector, listed on the MTA segment of Borsa Italiana, announces that it has been awarded through its subsidiary 4Science, an important government tender launched in Peru by CONCYTEC (National Consortium of Science and Technology ) and funded by the World Bank as part of its aid and support programs for developing countries. This project will help Peru increase its level of productivity, which is essential to continue along the path of sustainable growth and to reduce poverty and inequality.

The project, worth over 1.3 million dollars, aims to implement a national platform for the management of the CONCYTEC Knowledge Base which allows us to offer specialized analysis, design, construction, and scientific heritage management services and of research of SINACYT, the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation of Peru.

An ambitious and large-scale project in the Big Data area, which has the general objective of optimizing making the use and management of cultural information easier and faster, thus promoting the systematic and organized dissemination of academic, technical-industrial knowledge of skills and knowledge of cultural and scientific operators in the whole of Peru. The project, lasting about 18 months, will be based on Open Source technology and will use the DSpace technology platform, of which 4Science is the most important certified Service Provider worldwide.

4Science was awarded the tender thanks to its skills in Big Data and Digital Repository developed over the years which required a high degree of specialization and experience in the creation and management of CRIS (Content Research Information System) systems addressed to the world of research and of the scientific community. It is precisely on the basis of the specific expertise gained on CRIS systems that CONCYTEC has entrusted 4Science with the development of such a large project, systems, which in the coming years will record important developments both in the Peruvian and international context.

4Science has an international customer portfolio and 75% of turnover is generated on foreign markets, customers including: Hong Kong Polytechnic University, considered the most important Polytechnic of the East; the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Germany, the German National Research Center; and the recognized Institute for Advanced Study, in Princeton in New Jersey, USA where he taught the great Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein.
